Bentley collaborates with Steve Mazzaro, Naim, and for an Extraordinary Journey

The Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid, which has a 2.9-liter V6 engine and a starting price of $210,000, was released to the market in late 2021. The Flying Spur Hybrid Jetstream II, with a starting price of $210,000, has a stunning exterior painted in jet blue and a monochromatic interior with Imperial Blue leather. The vehicle is available with a 2.9-liter V6 engine and a number of important extras, including a $8,970 Naim for Bentley premium audio system.

Speaking to its audio system, Bentley commissioned Hollywood music composer Steve Mazzaro to develop a custom soundtrack for the car, resulting in a stunning pairing of design and sound. The “Extraordinary Journey,” a composition that lasts about ten minutes, transports listeners on an inspirational, powerful musical journey that epitomises the Bentley brand. The work was created to match the capabilities of the 2,200 watt, 21-channel Naim in-car audio system, which is unique to Bentley, to demonstrate its unmatched capabilities.

This unique composition was created by composer and producer Steve Mazzaro in collaboration with a variety of top musicians who all collaborated remotely. Mazzaro was eager to create a remarkable performance theatre with the total of 19 speakers located around the cabin and the two kinesthetic sharkers in the front seats.

According to Mazzaro, “For this work, I wanted to take the listener on a journey…so there’s flow to this piece, beginning in a certain manner and then guiding the individual someplace.” “To me, Bentley embodies sophistication and style as well as strength, quickness, and technical intricacy. I thus employed guitars, as well as strong, hefty bass synthesisers, really technical drums, and precise hand percussion, for this work. This also turned into more of a technical exercise since I really wanted to test the limits of the Naim audio system.

The song, which is divided into three chapters, takes listeners on a trip through three different musical genres, beginning with a brisk and upbeat introduction, moving into an orchestral second chapter, and concluding with a powerful electronica-driven symphony. Some of the best musicians in the world, including violinist Molly Rogers, drummer Satanam Ramgotra, guitarist Guthrie Govan, flamenco guitarist Amir John Haddad, percussionist Holly Madge, bassist Juan Garcia-Herreros, and cellist Tina Guo, worked with Mazzaro to bring the score to life. Bentley and Guo have been close friends ever since Bentley’s first hybrid model was introduced in 2018.

The Flying Spur’s audio system served as the ideal complement for Mazzaro’s presentation of the business’ really cutting-edge audio system. The most potent in-car original equipment manufacturer (OEM) system currently on the market is provided by Naim and Bentley, who also continue to push the envelope with this technology. Alain Favey, member of the board for sales, marketing, and aftersales at Bentley, stated that the “Bentley x Naim sound system is specified on almost 40% of customer orders [and] it’s been a great pleasure to work with Steve Mazzaro to craft a piece of music to really demonstrate the prowess of the [Naim-equipped Bentley] system.”

Naim’s most recent iteration for Bentley has 21 speakers and transducers with 2,200 watts of amplification, nine 80mm advanced Balanced Mode Radiators (BMRs), four 6″ x 9″ bass drivers, four 25mm Super Tweeters, active bass transducers in the front seats, and one 32mm transducer.
