India leads the West Indies series 2-1 thanks to Suryakumar Yadav

Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper, struck an undefeated 33 while the opener scored 76 in 44 balls.

In the third Twenty20 international, played in Basseterre on Tuesday, India beat West Indies by seven wickets and took a 2-1 series lead thanks to opener Suryakumar Yadav’s outstanding 76.

India successfully chased down a total of 165 with one over remaining thanks to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 33 and eight fours and four sixes from Yadav in his 44-ball innings.

The West Indies, who were given the opportunity to bat first, finished their innings on 164/5 after starter Kyle Mayers scored 73 runs off of 50 balls while Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer added a few fast runs at the conclusion of the game.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, an Indian speed bowler, claimed 2-35 wickets, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya and seamer Arshdeep Singh also each claimed one victim.

The first game of the series was won by India by 68 runs, while the second game was won by West Indies by five wickets.

The final game will take place on Sunday after the fourth T20 is completed on Saturday.
