Indian PM Modi writes UAE President about deepening strategic ties.

To Your Majesty, Mr. President Today, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote to UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss ways to deepen the strategic ties between India and the UAE.

The letter was presented to Sheikh Mohamed today at a meeting by His Majesty India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who is in the UAE to attend the fourteenth session of the UAE-India Joint Committee and the third session of the UAE-India Strategic Dialogue.

Dr. Jaishankar, the Indian Prime Minister, opened the meeting at Al Shati Palace by welcoming His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and expressing his hopes for the continued prosperity of the United Arab Emirates and its people.

The President of the United Arab Emirates expressed his desire for continued prosperity and happiness for Prime Minister Modi and the people of India.

Within the context of their comprehensive strategic partnership and the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, the parties discussed a wide range of regional and global issues shared by both countries, as well as various aspects of their bilateral relationships and the necessity of working together to strengthen and advance them (CEPA).

Attendees included Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan. Those in attendance included the Indian foreign minister and his entourage.
