NASA cancels the launch of a massive Moon rocket on Monday.

NASA decided not to launch its powerful new moon rocket on Monday.

According to AFP, NASA had to stop the test flight because one of the four RS-25 engines had a problem with how hot it was running.

The Artemis1 mission, which is a trip around the Moon without people on board, could start on either September 2 or September 5.

NASA’s huge next-generation megarocket was set to take off on Monday for a six-week test flight around the moon and back. This would be the first mission of the Artemis programme, which will take the place of the Apollo programme.

The two-stage, 32-story-tall Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion crew capsule were supposed to take off from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Before NASA decides that the SLS-Orion is safe enough to carry astronauts, the SLS-first Orion’s flight, called “Artemis I,” will put the 5.75 million-pound vehicle through its paces on a difficult demonstration trip that will push its design limits.
