The funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will be on September 19.

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth, who passed away last week after 70 years on the throne, will be laid to rest on Monday, September 19, at 10:00 GMT, according to the most senior peer in England, who controls state events.

On Sunday, the coffin was moved from Balmoral Castle to Edinburgh, and on Tuesday, it will be flown to London. Westminster Hall will be the final resting place for the body from Wednesday night through the funeral’s early morning hours.

Edward Fitzalan-Howard, Duke of Norfolk, the Earl Marshal, said, “We will carry out our duty over the coming days with the hardest of hearts, but also with the firmest of resolve to deliver a suitable farewell to one of the defining figures of our times.”
