With the arrival of Roxy Cinemas this month, Dubai Hills Mall is set to get even better. The new Roxy Cinemas will open its doors to moviegoers on Wednesday, August 31, with a total of 15 screens, including the Middle East’s largest cinema screen.
It’s set to be a next level cinematic experience, and surely one of the best ways to enjoy all the latest releases, measuring 28 metres by 15.1 metres to create 423 square metres (for scale, that’s twice the size of a tennis court) of movie magic. The one-of-a-kind movie viewing experience, dubbed Roxy Xtreme, will feature 382 premium reclining seats divided into three tiers: Standard, Premium, and Director’s Boxes. We’re already fantasising about watching the big box office hits from one of the three director’s boxes, each of which is a plush suite perched above the auditorium and has only 12 luxurious suites. Director’s boxes are ideal for booking with a group of movie-loving friends because they include on-demand waiter service, reclining heated seats with footrest and headrest, and even wireless charging.

Seven of the remaining 14 screens at Roxy Cinemas Dubai Hills Mall will be Roxy’s Platinum Screens, which will open slightly later in October, as well as seven silver screens, which will open later this month alongside the Roxy Xtreme screen.
Platinum Plus tickets provide a luxurious cinema experience, including reclining seats, a pillow and blanket to snuggle up with, and access to the Platinum Lounge. Tickets are Dhs165 or Dhs255, and include a welcome drink and nibbles upon arrival at the lounge, as well as a two-course meal and a drink. Silver tickets, which provide a comfortable stadium-style setting with powerful image and surround sound, begin at Dhs36.75. The prices for the director’s boxes have yet to be determined.
Tickets will go on sale closer to the opening date, when we will see the first lineup of Hollywood, Bollywood, and Arabic blockbusters. Tickets will be available for purchase at theroxycinemas.com.
